Blair Saxon-Hill
Blair Saxon-Hill was born in 1979 in Eugene, Oregon and currently divides her time between Mallorca and Los Angeles. She works straightforwardly and with effortless ease when she paints her still lifes of wilting flowers, people in their environment, or the surrounding nature.
She states, “Part of my painting practice involves creating floral still life paintings. I am a formalist interested in a notational approach to mark making, color relationships, and composition. I love artists like Matisse, Milton Avery, Alma Thomas and Vuillard. I have worked across mediums through out my career and have found a home in oil painting. To date, my oil paintings have been exhibited in Japan, China, Denmark, Spain and the United States.
Selected solo exhibition includes Collaborations, Copenhagen (2024); SHRINE, New York (2024); SHRINE, LA (2023); Nino Mier Gallery Glassell Park, LA (2018); Pace Prints, New York (2018), Nino Mier Gallery, LA (2018) and many more. Blair Saxon-Hill’s work have been part of numerous group shows, including Kotaro Nukaga, Tokyo (2025); The Olivia Foundation, Roma, Mexico City (2025); PearlLam Galleries, Shanghai (2024); Pace Prints, New York (2024); Gallerie Nazionali di Arte Antica in collaboration with Aïshti Foundation, Rome (2024); The Pit, Los Angeles (2024).
